Born in 1967 in Manchester, England. Currently lives and works in
London.
Perkin's work involves a combination of sculpture, installation, and
video art.

He begins by creating miniature environments that at initial glance
appear quite mundane and familiar in a generic sense. However, upon
closer inspection, a viewer notices that the scenes; which are made
with a painstaking attention to detail, actually have a few odd elements
placed within them that counter-balance the viewer's sense of comfort
with the scene.

The arrangement of the miniature environments and the monitors are
all critical components of the artwork's construction.
in the last few years, Gary Perkins has been commissioned to create
a number of special artworks by several institutions and businesses in
the United Kingdom.
