Brooklyn-based sculptor Jordan Griska's work playfully reveals the shortcomings and failures of contemporary technologies, industries and lifestyles. He modifies and repurposes specific objects such as newspaper boxes, propane tanks, or gas pumps to comment on the cultures and industries that produced them. Griska's works are constantly inspired by industrial design and engineering, co-mingling with influences of Pop and minimalist explorations of color, form and space.
