London-based artist Kate Atkin creates large labor-intensive pencil drawings combining unusual elements of organic forms. She typically works from multiple photographs to accentuate and mutate particular ambiguous qualities of naturally-occuring objects. The amorphous subjects of her drawings intrigue and confound viewers as they are forced to question the nature of what they are seeing.
